Easter Basket Ideas That Aren’t a Bunch of Junk

I’ve always loved creating Easter baskets for my kids, but one thing I have loathed about them are the junk that is used to fill them. I mean who ever said that Easter baskets needed to include things just to be “full”? Why in the world do I want to give my kids toys that they will probably never play just with for the sake of filling a basket? And let’s talk candy. We don’t eat a lot of candy around here on a regular day so adding it to fill a basket seems a bit silly to me. Not to mention, it all seems a little wasteful. As the saying goes, money doesn’t grow on trees, so why waste hard earned money on “fillers’?

I decided very early on into motherhood that I would try my best to create Easter baskets that were full of things that my kids would actually enjoy and use. They didn’t have to be expensive items (although they can be), but more importantly they would be things of value and that wouldn’t just be tossed in the trash a few days or weeks later.

Easter Basket Ideas Broken Down

Being that I have three kids in three very different stages of life, I completely understand the chaos that goes along with shopping for the various age groups. I’ve broken down several Easter basket ideas into categories below to help make things easier for you.

These days Gage is all about aesthetic things. He loves to make matcha, light candles and of course, love to smell good. You can shop any of the photos below.

Lila, my thirteen year old, also loves tea so I had to include some cute little teas I found at World Market. She’s really loving the Sol de Janeiro products so I included some of those as well. Everything in her basket is also shoppable below.

And then there’s Ryan. My seven year old that loves everything. She’s definitely the easiest and least expensive to shop for. I found the cutest little claw clips for her and the prettiest little initial bracelet. You can shop her basket below.
