You’ve probably heard the term old money aesthetic, as it’s currently a major trend, and one that I personally love and try to emulate in my own style. So what is old money aesthetic and why am I obsessed?
Old money aesthetic has also been called quiet luxury, which in my opinion is just one part of what embodies the trend. It’s not only about pieces with less brand logos, but it’s also about a timeless and expensive style that symbolizes high society. And of course, well, the aesthetic is also old. Think style icons like Jackie Kennedy and Princess Diana, travel destinations like the Hamptons and Lake Como, and iconic brands such as Ralph Lauren and Hermés.
Even if you can’t afford to dress like an elite, you can still achieve the old money aesthetic style. I’m including designer pieces, as well as more affordable outfit options below.

Old Money Aesthetic Style to Replicate
Look 1
This look is such a simple and easy one to replicate. Trousers, a white button down and neutral sweater thrown over the shoulder are the main focus here.

Here, the old money aesthetic style is a bit more preppy with a striped button down, Ralph Lauren style sweater and flowy tennis skirt or shirt dress.

For me, the pop of color with the red flats, along with the belt and basket bag, are the real standout pieces of this outfit and exude the old money aesthetic.

This look is another one that’s so easy to recreate. White shorts, a black linen shirt tied up, a classic bag and sunglasses are all you need for this outfit.

When I think of what the old money aesthetic style guide 2023 represents, this is it. It’s the embodiment of style icons like Jackie Kennedy, chic scarfs, and the carefree lifestyle seen here.

This is another preppy, yet chic outfit that can be easily replicated. Plaid is always such a sophisticated look and pairing it with a light blue button down makes for the perfect old money aesthetic style.

I love a monochrome look and this one radiates high society style. I absolutely love the simplicity and subtle variations of white within this outfit. The hat and jewelry create the perfect addition to this look.
